The All-American Prospects were formed in the Spring of 2005 by Mike Adams, Frank Schaeffer, and Bill Lockwood. Each year, our teams consist entirely of high school underclassmen (17 and under) who compete against the nation's top 18 and under summer teams, comprised mostly of graduating seniors.

Our goal is to provide a summer program capable of competing against the country's elite summer teams, while providing each player with the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of the nation's top college recruiters and professional scouts at the summer's premiere events. Although we strive to win, it is more important that our players be seen by college recruiters in hopes of securing an athletic scholarship. Thus, if a college recruiter wishes to see a particular player, we will alter our regular lineup to give that recruiter the opportunity to see the player. We find this approach is in the best interest of our players.

As a result, since 2006 no less than 75 of our players have signed scholarships to attend schools such as Florida, Miami, Florida State, Louisville, North Carolina State, Stetson, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Yale, Brown, Oklahoma State, Arizona State, LSU, Samford, South Florida, College of Charleston, and Duke as well as several prominent junior college programs.

The Prospects have won two of the past four World Wood Bat Association 17-under National Championships, finishing third out of 152 teams in the 2007 event, as well as the 2006 USA Baseball Junior Olympic East Championship. In 2008, we won the prestigious AABC 16 and under Mickey Mantle World Series and WWBA UnderClass World Championship.

The Prospects have had 35 players selected in the 2006, 2007, and 2008 MLB draft, including seven - Chris Marrero, Colton Willems, Adrian Cardenas, David Christensen, John Tolisano, Danny Rams, and Casey Kelly - in the first two rounds. All seven, along with several others are currently playing minor-league baseball.

Our premier team in the program, the 17U All American Prospects club will defend our 2005 & 2006 PG WWBA 17u National Championship crown in Atlanta this summer with another excellent roster of players and coaches. Our players will train, will play individual games, and participate in the strongest 17U & 18U summer tournament schedule in the country. We offer our players an incredible opportunity to showcase their talents in front of nearly every major college baseball program in the country on a regular basis during the summer.

We are very proud of what we offer our young men and so are college baseball programs throughout the country. All of our 2005 & 2006 players signed National Letters of Intent with the top-ranked NCAA Division I baseball programs. Major NCAA Division I schools, along with numerous DII colleges, DIII colleges and JuCo programs encourage their incoming recruits to participate in our program because they know we prepare them for what to expect.

The focus of our program is to promote and expose the sophomore and junior players in the program to college recruiters and MLB scouts and prepare each to win a job in the fall with the college they have chosen or, to be drafted by a major league club and begin their professional career. We are committed to all players that want to grow in our program until they are too old to do so. And yes, we encourage younger players to play in our program so that they may learn from the older players and gain the experience of playing baseball at its highest levels.

To be considered for selection for our teams, players must first thoroughly complete a Player Profile Form and fax or mail it to us. We then put each applicant into a review process for selection.

The All American Prospects Red Team is where the road to college recruiting and exposure to professional baseball scouting begins. This team will play 3 National tournaments throughout the summer (USA Baseball Junior Olympics, PG WWBA 17U National Championship, and qualifying tournaments for the AABC Mickey Mantle World Series) and one event in the fall (WWBA Underclassmen World Championships).

Our goal is to of course win, but the underlying and most important goal for this team is to give as many top level players the opportunity to make the USA Baseball Youth National Team as possible. This year players with a 1992 birth date and do not turn 17 before May 1st are eligible to participate in the Junior Olympic Tournament. Players with a 1993 birth date are eligible to participate and to be selected to the USA Youth Trials.
